I’m moving Edaya’s web site.
Over the years I’ve used several tools, including:

  • WordPress
    Simple and had nice themes, but didn’t provide easy version control and needed security updates.
  • SquareSpace
    Simple and pretty, but as I added a few pages they wanted to charge more.
  • Django
    Powerful and a good learning experience, but more complicated than Edaya needed.

I think GitHub pages will be a great fit!

  • Simple publishing and version control via git.
  • Low maintenance
  • Blog aware, can write posts in markdown.
  • Portable to another host if necessary.
